As the seasons change, so do the seasons of our life. When we were young time seemed to stand still, but as we age that time literally flies. Just as spring brings a renewal of life in nature, the autumn brings a quietness. It's autumn once again, the leaves are turning colors and falling from the trees. The birds are flying south for the winter, as the wind brings a cold chill from the north.
It is also the autumn of my life, for I see more life behind me than what is ahead. I try to stuff all that I can into my remaining years, just as a child tries to stuff all the fun they can into their summers. I am more in tune with nature now. My childhood, and the years in between, are often in my thoughts. I'm thankful for all that God has given me in my life and for all that is to come.
Winter will soon take hold. But spring is sure to come again, bringing with it the songs of birds, green grass peeking up from the lawn, and flowers blowing in the wind. That fluff of dandelion, scattered to the wind --- and life renewed.
Reflections of Autumn
by Ann Weyant
Such a pretty leaf,
Filled with red, green, and brown--
A signal of autumn
When summer's gone down.
The days fly as leaves in the blustery air,
A memory of a time when we were there
In the beginning of life, now nearing the end--
A fluff of dandelion carried with the wind.

Awesome thoughts Ann. You see and think and write things that later I read and say Wow, that's right! Why didn't I think of that? Then I remember, you're a writing, story telling genius and I'm not. lol God Bless You always Ann.

Lovely. I hear what you're saying, Ann. Treasure each moment of every day, for they are precious.
