My darling wife decided we needed a new mattress for the bed. A queen, firm. We had just received a little extra money, so we went shopping. We hit all the stores. It is 100 degrees in Texas so we had a lot of in and out of the car. We ended up at Sam's and found one my wife was satisfied with. I told my wife, "While we are here I will buy some rope or tie downs". She said no, we had some twine at home. The next day I took the twine from home and went back to Sam's. I bought the mattress and employees helped me get it on top of my wife's suv. I then tried to tie it down. When I pulled on the twine, it broke in my hand. No good, rotten. I went back into Sam's and bought 4 tie downs in a plastic case. Back out to the suv. I could not open the plastic case. It stays hot in Texas folks, 100 plus. I jumped up and down on the plastic case and finaly got it open. Then I discovered that I did not know how to hook the two parts to gether. A man walked by and I asked for help. He put the straps accross the mattress and I headed home. At home, it took me 30 minutes to remove the straps. I got the new mattress in the house and the old one on the suv. I found some rope to tie it down and took it to the dump[. I am going to give the tie downsto my step son who knows how to use them. A late Father's Day Gift. It is still hot. ANOTHER FINE MESS.
