I'm thankful for-
You - my family and friends, my daughter and granddaughter, my schnauzer Brandi, the beauty in nature, warm sunlight, sparkling snow, the memories, our country, for every day God gives us ...
As we stop and reflect on what we are thankful for this Thanksgiving Day - even though some may be sick, worried, or heartbroken - we can look deep into our hearts and find thankfulness. Just to be here on God's earth, to be able to see, to walk, to shake someone's hand, to speak, to hear someone say "I love you", or "I've been thinking about you", to have food to eat, to share with others, to have a warm bed to lay our head at night, to have the freedom to pray - there's so much to be thankful for. I'm thankful for the time we had with our loved ones who have passed on, for all the pets we've had, to hear laughter, to see young love and old love - holding hands as they walk down the path. I'm thankful we have a today and a tomorrow.
--and, for the time Denny and I had together, thank you, God.
Of the many Thanksgivings we had with my parents, I may have missed two in my lifetime, one when Denny and I both had the flu, the other one when I couldn't get home from the Army one year. Mom made the best of everything, the turkey, dressing, cakes, pies, all from scratch. Those times with Mom & Dad, brothers & sisters, I remember with grateful heart - just to be together. For all you did for me, I thank you.
I pray for you - peace, love, family, happiness, prosperity, good health - and to have all you need in life.
