"Country Boy Thinking"
I am so glad to have been born in America and have been raised by hard working Christian parents. Now I am retired after working many years in the public. I was raised in the country so I probably have country ways. I am proud to say that I am a Christian man and have always been. I helped raise my two sons and now they are good Christian men with families and kids. I do not stand on a corner and preach, I just live the kind of life where others can see God through me. It has worked for me for nearly 65 years so I must be doing something right. I am not out for fame and glory even though I could have easily done so.I chose my religion and do not argue the Bible. If others want to believe in other gods and books that is okay with me. I do feel sorry for these people and I pray for them. If one can be outside when the sun comes up in the morning and sees the wonderful things around him and breathes the fresh air and listens to the birds singing how can anyone doubt that there is a God in Heaven? I have been around people before that did not believe in God and they are good people. The only thing that I am sure of it all shall die and then what. Have I spent my whole life in vain telling people about a loving God and telling them of Heaven and Hell? I know one thing that it is not worth me taking a chance on. I had lot rather take a chance of there being a God in Heaven than to let pride get the best of me and not believe and go to an everlasting Hell. I am just a country boy !

I was born nearly 65 years ago. I am so proud to have been born in the U.S.A. and to have had Christian parents. If if had it all to do over I would not change any of my life. I have always had my choice of freedom of speech and everything else. I have had nobody try to push religion on me. I have had my own faults and failures, but I always pick up the pieces and put things back together. Heaven and Hell ?? I do believe in the Bible and since I do I believe that both exist. Poor you if you do not, But that is why God gave and gives us our own minds and hearts to make those decisions.

Brent, being responsible for then management of 4 folks could drive any thinking man near insane maybe. Good grief! I have been in similar situations, and when one does not have the final say about the 'multitudes' of problems one has to deal with, it only exacerbates the manager's personal difficulties. I'm glad you are getting your sea legs again. It seems to me you are doing well, and engaging life again as an individual, thinking, caring person.

Mark, I do enjoy reading your blogs, stories, etc. I do not get offended by anything that anyone writes or says. No, I did not suffer a stroke, but my brain just locked up. I was not aware that this can happen, but the specialists told me that it is just like overworking your body. They thought that I might have been having TIFs, but the scans showed nothing. At first I did not even know who I was, but I remember the doctors saying that if I did not improve I would be comfined to a mental hospital. That put a scare in me that I still have. I knew that I would do whatever I could to get better. I had been the boss over 100 people for 20 years and had a job I really loved. Now I was fighting to just be the boss over one person, me. It was a long comeback, but I am still making it everyday. Though I do not understand all of it I do know that it is real. Just hope it does not happen to you.

Brent, did you suffer a stroke or something. Seems to me you are doing pretty good. Thank you for your compliments, but I do know my writing is horrid. I don't spend much time on polishing anything I write. I mostly write to keep my mind active, and engaged, and for my own enjoyment.

Mark, I understand and you do ask some very good questions and you write very good blogs. Some of them are above my head and probably above several of us. haha I wish I could think deeply like you do. I used to be able to stay with the best, but I actually overloaded my brain and it locked up. I have been about 6 years getting back some of what I lost. The doctors said I might not ever get any of my thinking back, but I am just hard headed enough to prove them wrong. I do pretty well and I am hoping my deep thinking part of my brain returns. You do not know how you miss it until it is gone.

Brent, I was in no way poking fun. I was asking a serious question. Brent I have been denigrated several times here, just because I have questioned some assertions which folks are expected to accept.

Ah Mark, we are still a free nation so you can poke fun at us and most of will not return the poke. Yep, Jesus is still in the finding and saving the lost business. It seems that this must be a public domain site since you have voiced your opinions from one end to the other. I have noticed that nobody seems to attack you for your thoughts. One person did ax your blog, but we had nothing to do with that. In fact I even wrote an answer to you in support. Keep telling us what's on your mind. We are adult enough to take it or leave it. I still love you.

I'm curious about something. Wasn't it Jesus who said, "I have come to seek and to save the lost"? Humm... Is this a 'public blog' or is it the sole domain of the 'believing' public? Humm... I guess I'm a tad confused. Ah well...

Oh how good to hear someone else on this site stand up for their belief in God. As easy as it is to witness to others, it is difficult when you must do so among non believers. Thank you Brent.
