Last night I heard Hillary do what had to be done with the courage and honor of true leadership. Tonight I heard Bill, bless his wayward heart, follow his wife's lead to bring the Democratic Party together and pass the torch to a new generation. As I write, I am more convinced than ever that now is the time for Barack Obama and Joe Biden to begin healing our country within and reestablishing our respect and leadership globally.

I am not now, nor have I ever been, a believer in party politics. For me it never has been about reds v blues, Democrats v Republicans. The choice for me always comes down to who I believe will best serve the people of the United States of America and their interests at home and abroad.

The eight-year record of Bush-Cheney stands on its own demerits. It is, indeed, time for a change.
