General ramblings on subjects of interest to me, and me alone ... if anyone else finds them entertaining, so much the better.

A celebration of a life
Contributed by: Annie Miller   on 6/15/2007

This is for me. Me and Corey.

Sons

Two Sons
Grew nine months
under my heart
Born one minute apart

Close
So closely linked
Best friends
Allies
Alibis

One spoke for the other.
Never betrayed their bond.
Punishments meant for one
Meted to both.

So closely linked.

One with an easy smile
Loving touch
Huge heart
Full of forgiveness
One a charmer,
Tender,
Clever and
Full of humor
A compliment to his twin.

So closely linked.

A grandson shares his name
I see a spirit in him
That will never be lost
Bonding him with an uncle he'll never meet,
but knows in his heart.

So closely linked.

This story is too cute. Funny how no matter what the memory of our loved ones never ceases!

This poem was meant to be a remembrance of my son Corey's short life, which ended June 15th, 1994 when he was not quite 17. He and his twin brother were very close and Chiah, who is now almost 30, named his son in Corey's memory.

Thanks so much, that means a lot to me, Pamela. I have two girls also - all are grown now and living in California. I miss them all very much.

Annie, well, if they are both teenagers now, I think I do understand your grocery bill. :) Tis a good time despite the normal worries.

Mark, they are fraternal twins and the picture was taken when they were about 10 years old.

Beautiful. And a great picture. They look like fine boys. I know you're proud of them.
