The most exciting place I've traveled:
OK, so I haven't ever been to Europe, and to be honest, really don't care to go. I love the United States and was fortunate enough to be a passenger in the cab of a semi while Jim drove & did all the work for two years. There are so many places I saw that I won't ever forget. Some of my most favorite moments include:
*
seeing a black bear rummaging through a garbage can in Tennessee - right along the highway!
*
a bald eagle flying low over the Mississippi
*
KUDZU!
*
mountain goats on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge
*
seeing/smelling Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky at Christmas time with their lovely light display, and
*
British Columbia, Canada
The most memorable:
Jim took me to a lovely bed and breakfast in Bellingham, Washington - Schnauzer Crossing - for my birthday. It was spur of the moment and one of the best birthdays I've ever had.
The most awesome:
waking to the sound of trumpeting elk on my first ever camping trip in The Olympic National Forest in Washington state.
My once in a lifetime event was:
meeting Jim (that may sound sappy, but I waited a long time for my best friend and soul mate!).
My "gosh I want to go back" is:
any of the previously mentioned ... but I am so looking forward to all that the future holds.
My most "Texan" is:
seeing my first ever tarantula, scissor-tailed flycatcher, cardinal, roadrunner ... trips to Lake Arrowhead, San Antonio, Fredericksbug ... and the list will continue
My most Wichita Falls:
having my daughter attend the same junior and high schools (Barwise & Rider) that Jim attended
My most Texoman:
My first view of the Red River and the Wichita Mountains!
What's your's? Copy the categories and fill in your most favorite experience.
(With thanks to Pamela!)
