Of course, I had to take a look at Penny Miller's new blog space over on blogspot.com. Yep, I looked around after reading Penny's stuff, liked what I saw and settled into a spot of my own at RollingPlainsJournal.blogspot.com.
No, I am not leaving YourHub. In spite of what others here might think, I still believe in our little community blog and intend to hang around for the foreseeable future or until I get run out on a rail, whichever comes first. Is that Gene over yonder piling kindling under that pot of tar???

Gene, as another old geezer once said, it's differences of opinions that make horse races. We may seldom agree, you and I, but that don't mean we have to be disagreeable. Your comments are always welcomed.

No, Jim, that ain't me. Many good men and women have died to give you the right to blog, and I would, too. But you don't mind if I give you a little nudge now and then back onto what I consider the straight and narrow, do you?

Mark, I certainly have no issues with either Mark Wilson or Deanna Watson, and I am proud to call both of them my friends. As for what I "should" do, please don't should on me and I won't should on you. As I said in the original post, I am NOT leaving YourHub.

Jim: Enjoyed your new blog and saw that Annie has also plunged in with a wonderful poem on her new blog. I'll keep checking back. As for YourHub, I really would like to see more participation as I think it is a wonderful community forum. A good place to find out about things happening in the community. I know the paper does not have the staff to keep up with everything, or many of the events have narrow appeal--speaking of which, about time for me to head out to Lake Arrowhead for this morning's attempt to conduct a Mussel Watch. I am betting on too much water, but I have binoculars in the truck, so I should be fine. Fall migration is starting, so I might see something really good.

Jim, Maybe you should "leave" Yourhub of Wichita Falls until such time as Mark Wilson, and Deanna Watson finds a way to "allow" a public speech. There is a reason WHY folks will not put their thoughts here.
