The North Texas Area United Way recently recognized local businesses for their outstanding community support. The following were awarded at the annual Campaign Victory Report on November 15, 2007 at the MPEC:

Spirit of Giving Award - United Supermarkets
(Recognizes the company that supports United Way through in-kind gifts, campaign activities, volunteer service, and donations to United Way.)

(Presented to the company with the largest increase in their corporate gift)
Friend of United Way - Benchmark Business Solutions
(Presented to the company with the highest per capita gift)
Best of North Texas Campaign - Howmet Corporation
(Presented to the company that has the largest employee campaign)
High Five Award - Burkburnett High School
(Traveling trophy presented to the school of participating Youth Leaders that raised the most dollars)
School Spirit Award - Ben Milam Elementary
(Presented to the school that has the largest elementary student campaign)
Outstanding CFC Campaign Co-Coordinator - MSgt Michael Nelson and SMSgt Kevin Hayden
Outstanding SECC Campaign - Texas Youth Commission
(The largest 2007 SECC Campaign)
Big Apple Award - Lamar Elementary
(This school was selected as the largest giving in school systems)
