The Wichita Falls Independent School District's Social Workers stopped by the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank on Thursday, August 20, 2008 as part of their staff development. They were interested in learning about the communities' resources. The were given a complete tour by the Food Bank's Social Services Outreach Coordinator, Veronica Harvey. The Social Workers in attendance were Deneka Johnson, Tony Nicholas, Emily Valverde, Lou Anne Gossom, Lisa Little, Shunda Stanley, Karen Jordan, Courtney Cooner, Debbie Gonzalez, David Shipley, Maria E. Aprostegui, and Sonja Gandy.
