Blog Entry 124 of 181 Everyone Has an Opinion; These are mine
Everyone has a right to their own opinion, everyone does not have a right to their own set of facts. The lie of political correctness, the motive of a relative society is to confuse people into mistaking wrong for right. There are biblical absolutes and I try my best to adhere to these principles and prcepts. Do I make mistakes YES. Do I get confused YES. But I never mistake dishonesty for honesty and I know a lie when I tell it. So, that all said, these are my opinions as I see them.

Life In The Fast Lane
Contributed by: Charles Paul Stephens   on 11/5/2008

Speaking with Mark the last few days I realized just how far out of my realm of thought I have been. Not to say that I am wrong, I am not; not to say that I am experienced, I am not really, but just to say that my life has so many more facets to it than just politics or government. Being the executive director of one of Texas' largest faith-based recovery facilities and being on servaeral other boards, I often forget just how much God has placed in my path. I love my job! I love helping others and serving the community! I love church and church life! So, why would a guy like me spend so much time worrying about things as small as a presidential race or congressional hearings? Simply put, do not ask me how or why I got off on this tangent and why it lasted so long? I guess, I was playing God! I guess I was convienced I could make a difference? Yet in turn I was distracted from the many things that do bring me happiness and prosperity! I was pulled away from serving the oppressed, convicted and sick and led to believe I could change the minds of the rich and powerful? " It is easier to pass a camel through the eye of e needle than for a rich man to get into heaven" I have now come to my senses and returned to helping those less fortunate. I have returned to the annoitting that God gave me and leave the other stuff to those chosen to do it! God has been good to me and He reminds me of my place in this world. I have a English Proffessor tell me once," you see things in black and white Charles. People do not really like black and white, they like the gray areas". If you are one of those, if you live your life in the gray area without spirirual absolutes then I am affraid you do not care for much that I right! I right exactly what I feel is right. And when wrong, I admit that I am wrong! But wrong about what I have written the last few eeks, I seriously doubt it! It will all unfold in due time! Sit, wait , watch and you too will see in black and white, as the gray slowly unfolds into a gray sky of STORM!
