Blog Entry 2 of 2 WEIGHTLOSS CHALLENGE

On June 6, 2006 the employees of Wilbarger General Hospital began a biggest loser competition. As of today, June 23, 2006 we have 43 employees signed in. The twelve week competition will end on August 29, 2006 with a final weigh in. The winning team will win a cash prize. We are in our third week. This past week a walking challenge was issued. Each team member had to walk a mile and turn their time into their team leader. The team with the lest time will win a box/basket of apples and the team with the worst time will eat a cinammon roll or wear a pigglet pin for a week, their choice. So far the team with the least points is team Barbie & Ken with a combined time of 125.64 minutes, but that could change.

FITNESS COMPETITION 3RD MEETING

The Wilbarger General Hospital's Biggest Loser teams met on August 2nd for a brief meeting held at 4:30pm in the hospital cafeteria. A brief discussion was conducted on each teams progress. Claire Bramlett was the months biggest loser with a weight loss total of 18 pounds. With Maria Ortega coming in a close second at 15 pounds. Claire was awarded a purse and Maria was awarded with a bath set.
The final meeting will be on August 29, 2006 in the hospital cafeteria. The winning team of Ken and Barbie won the most miles walked during a week competition. Walking 114 miles total between the team members. They were awarded a basket of cherries. Great job everyone!
