Blog Entry 22 of 181 Everyone Has an Opinion; These are mine
Everyone has a right to their own opinion, everyone does not have a right to their own set of facts. The lie of political correctness, the motive of a relative society is to confuse people into mistaking wrong for right. There are biblical absolutes and I try my best to adhere to these principles and prcepts. Do I make mistakes YES. Do I get confused YES. But I never mistake dishonesty for honesty and I know a lie when I tell it. So, that all said, these are my opinions as I see them.

Pimp Suit Part II
Contributed by: Charles Paul Stephens   on 11/1/2007

I find it strange that people have sexual deviates and drug dealers living in
their neighborhoods yet complain about someone's dogs. Now granted I
am all for code enforcment and responsible pet ownership but we see
insane, fanatic reactions from people in every neighborhood over some
pit bull dog. The last two days saw The Amarillo newspaper printing stories
or letters from people believing they will one day be attacked and killed by
some stray pit bull dog. Do you folks( a little further south) realize the ignorance
in this thought. All one must do is Google dog deaths or go to the CDC and search dog death and you wiill see the unlikelyhood of this happening. Instead, as in most cities, they read ONLY what a biased media prints and remain in the dark about the REAL risk in their neighborhoods. Drug dealers, drug labs and organized crime flouishes in North Texas compared to ALL dog related incidents. People must come to realze the total futility in this attepmt to protect themselves from a killer that is a mdeia fabrication. People need to come to grips with the shape that mordern media is in by passing off liberal agenda as news. We are NOT that stupid nor are we about to fall for some witch hunt over what is mostly a " Dog Bite Incident" Upon research we see so many "maulings" as only a simple dog bite. We see as many animal control officers promote their own agenda in one form or another causing even more distortion of true facts. There are many accurate reports out there pretaining to actual dog bites and deaths, along with the results of Breed Banning. Yet, we see words like vicious and mauled used in EVERY pit bull story. There are asmany true stories out there about heroism and valor that out-weigh the negativeyet the Amarillo paper choses notto print. And it is a choice, period. There are those who support, responsible pet ownership and there are those who have some sort of vendetta against these great dogs of American History. I am sad that the two cannot find common ground and ease the conflict instead of propogating a myth for the sole purpose of money and greed. "The truth shall set you free"! Not only that the truth will set those around you free as well. I will be glad to see the day when the words "pit bull" no longer sells papers and can no longer be used as an "action line" for some news editor to further a story. What do they say in the business, " A Jump the Shark Moment" will happen real soon and all this will be old news and die, just like most in print newspapers who support a liberal agendas.

Thank you so very much and I agree 100%. Many of these dogs we see in town are not loved and not cared for properly. A dog senses what it's owner does and feels, so if the owner is needy then the dog is needy.

My son has a Pit Bull/ Border Collie mix. I believe she is the smartest, most loving dog I've ever been around. I trust her completely around my grandchildren. I believe that dogs, like humans, return love when given love.
