Blog Entry 137 of 181 Everyone Has an Opinion; These are mine
Everyone has a right to their own opinion, everyone does not have a right to their own set of facts. The lie of political correctness, the motive of a relative society is to confuse people into mistaking wrong for right. There are biblical absolutes and I try my best to adhere to these principles and prcepts. Do I make mistakes YES. Do I get confused YES. But I never mistake dishonesty for honesty and I know a lie when I tell it. So, that all said, these are my opinions as I see them.

Excess Part III - Waste Not - Want Not

Sure everyone "wants' a new car and many people "need" a new car! But not ever person " needs " duel air bags, reclining seats and a multi-CD/DVd player combo. No, it is a far space between "wants" and "needs". I resently bought a new pick up truck - now I am glad it has a reciever hitch, not that I really "need" one but I do use it time to time. If...IF they made Bumbers like they used to then a reciever hitch would not be a "need". Then we look at the 6 way electric seat. My last truck had that to and I seldom/never used it. I guess I would say the CD player is a "need" but I can only play one CD at a time so a multi CD/DVD combo is not a "need " but a "want".!Yet most American cars today and many others come with all this "stuff" built in as if they are saying " all are NEEDS"? I look at current coffee makers and micro waves the same way, delayed timing, alarm clocks, auto-shut off. all advertised as " basic needs " yet what they are is "accountability avoidence tools"! If you want to avoid accountability buy America! If you want to avoid being responsible buy what's advertised! This is where America's Instant Gratitfication is birthed from - gadgets, tools and other items that help US(A) avoid being resonsible! Spell Check, White Out and Auto Correct help us to look perfect while learning nothing. The greatest excess to date must be in the realm of TV and computer - remote controls , auto shut downs and screen savers help us to remain non-accountable Life is just too easy in America. Getting into college, getting a job due to education and not experience is all part of the excess world we have created. Excess also equates to Americas obesity problem and teen(STD) pregency problem. These children have no idea what self-control is and it isreflected in food, sex and fun! They want it all no matter what the cost and parents try to give it too them even to the point of self destruction!
